12 years

that is the age of my oldest WIP. I had completely forgotten this little jewel until I was sorting projects and found it this past week. So with new found resolve, I pulled it out to stitch this past weekend. Sadly I manged only one tiny over one stitch late last night before I realized my eyes were not up for the challenge. So it  shall be my March goal to complete the ..... Dogwood Stitchery project by Moss Creek designs.  Only the green portion of the needle roll is completed. Hopefully I can find more time this week in the evening to work on the piece. Now that the ugly truth is out in the open my question is, what is your oldest project still not complete? Can any of you beat 12 years? I think there are only 6 pieces that are WIP and one of them was completed last week. In Virtues Way by Chessie and Me. It was only 2 years old. The fruitful labor of  days in the gym watching my sons wrestling matches and tournaments. I am on a quest to complete my WIP before 2011 is complete so we shall see how that goes. No new starts until I am done.

all confessed out,

  1. Pam, I have too many WIPs to count. I think one of them might be 15+ yrs old but I can't remember when I started it. No new starts. If I could be so disciplined.

  2. Can't wait to see your next confession. Since I have not been stitching that long, my oldest is from June. Can't seem to go back to it.

  3. Don't worry about how many WIP's you have...I have a quilt that is completely basted together with the binding sewn in place, but have never completed the quilting of it! When you do finally take out each WIP to work on them, it is like re-discovering a brand new project all over again! Adds to the fun!

I was unable to attend the New England Stitcher's Oct. 2010 retreat, due to sudden illness and surgery. Wish I could have met you!

  4. WOW! "No new starts until I am done."
???I can't even wrap my head around such a bold declaration???
I have broken lesser rules that I have tried to set for myself so I won't even go there. I am afraid to try to figure out how old my oldest wip is but I love whatever I am working on at the time and I seem to have plenty of wips to pick from each day.
Welcome to blogland and I am looking forward to seeing your finishes.
